Different topics during one lesson. To be or not to be?

I'm working as a speech-therapist with kids and special children who have 2 languages at home.
We speak English all the time. English is very necessary language to understand new words, to start new activity and to communicate with each other.

How do we start our lesson?

We sing the songs. Babbies love it, but teens laught at it but then we play different games, using interactive desk, lapbook . and we repeat new words during our lesson by singing the songs. When the weather is good we are studing outside. Despite of this, i can change my plans during the lesson because of very hyperactive children and noisy kids and we start to discuss different news that everybody knows and then we return to our topic.
In my opinion pupils can remember more new words, expressions by music. Not all the time , of course.
With babies we have fun and we have merry lesson using plenty cards, pictures and musical intsruments, with kids we have , i'd rather say, historical lessons with adventures. With teens
we learn about our past, we discuss books, interesting stories, solve problems and we try to write composions about situation in different countries.
