Final Task.
Aim:Give and receive information for performing the dialogue in a restaurant

Topics

a).- Vocabulary of food.
b).- Vocabulary of menu and its parts.
c).- Vocabulary of expression to use in a restaurant.
d).- Structure of a dialogue, opening, body, closure.

First students will research the vocabulary of food (drinks, food, desserts, vegetables, fruit). This must be ilustrated.

Second The teacher with cards of food give the pronounciation and the students repeat them.

Third. the teacher will play bingo with the students first she will say the words and then select two students to say the words one by one. Then she will put the group in small groups of 4 no more and they will continue the game saying the words in such a way that all of them say them.

Fourth the teacher put a conversation about food the students identify the names and will draw of picture of them.

Fifth the teacher will hand out a transcript of crosswords of food in pairs.

Sixth the teacher write the headlines of menu and below them the names of food with pictures she will do some examples to explain the headlines.

chocolate cake, spaghetti with meatballs, noodles, tomato juice, spinach salad then the teacher select more students to put the rest of food.

Seventh the teacher will make a contest with the menu between men and women where they do a menu.

Eight they do a menu with illustrations where they will name the restaurant and the prices.

Nith the teacher write a small conversation between the customer and waiter. The teacher will put the food (drink, main course, salad and dessert) like this:

Lucy : Good morning. Are you ready to order?
Pedro Yes, I'll have a roast chicken with french fries.
Lucy: What would you like to drink?
Pedro: Can I have a diet coke?
Lucy: What would you like for dessert?
Pedro:I'll have a chocolate cake.
Pedro: Waitress, please. How much is it?
Lucy: It's $ 30 dollars.
Pedro: Here you are thank you.
Lucy: Your welcome.

Tenth the teacher ask for students repeat the dialogue in chorus and then divide the class in two groups one is Lucy the other is Pedro. And then individual when they finish to say the dialogue the teacher will erase some words of the menu and select some students to complete the dialogue.

Eleventh the teacher will ask the students put in small groups to practice the dialogue changing the food.

Twelve she will play a conversation in a restaurant where two customers are asking their order and the teacher asked they answer what expressions they use and type of food dessert, drink,etc. Finally the teacher will a transcript where they answer the questions.

Thirteenth they will do a conversation use different expressions but now one is the waiter and the others three are the customers they will elaborate with comics in small groups.

They will use:

a).-one greeting and question for ask the order.
b).- answer the greeting and ask for the food, drink and dessert with different expression for each one.
c).-questions to ask for the drink, main course, and dessert.
d).-expression to say that's all.
e).-ask for the bill
f).-thank and say goodbye.

Finally they will act the dialogue in groups of four.
