Choose the following tasts.
1.- look again the three list of house and garden vocabulary in exercise 1. Do you agree with the way they are graded? What five others words would you include at each level?
Yes, I agree because. First must be the most frequent and the most easiest in all aspects and when learners progress the vocabulary will increase taking in account the frecuency of the words as well as others aspects already mentioned in the reading such as the grammar, the pronunciation, the formal words, etc.
I included the following:
Beginners:
room
yard
table
oven
lamp
Intermediate:
story
attick
cellar
roof
furnitured
Advanced:
rafters
drain pipe
foot path
sills
foundations.
2.-When did you last travel to a country where you didn't speak English? What were the first words you learned? Why did you learn these ones? Do you still remember any of them?
When I traveled the first words I learned were Bonjour and merci because I always listened them that is the frequency of use and by to be short and simple and the other when I had to satisfy a fundamental need as such food, the service of bathroom, and accomodation that for me was the most difficult.
