exploiting learners´errors

1. I think that obviously mistakes are not a sign that something is going wrong but a natural part of the learning process. Therefore, it is always good not to avoid them in class but use them as hypothesis that need refining. The only thing we have to do as teachers is to provide the students with enough feedback in order to help them to detect and correct these mistakes.

5. I think that communicative activities give us a good opportunity of exploiting students´mistakes. In those situations where a student talks and the other ones listen, I suggest them to make notes about possible mistakes. With this I give them the opportunity to think and talk about their language use and the possible mistakes they have made. They form and try out different hypothesis and finally put the grammar rules into practice in order to get to the right answers and then improve their language use.
