That sounds good Magda - I like the idea of the diaries and how you re-phrase things for them, more useful than those sel-correction codes which can be pretty frustrating! Thanks for posting!

Unit 10 - Course Evaluation and Self Evaluation

1.I use with my students different kinds of sel-evaluation. Students write their vocabularies and from time to time they test each other, or I test them.
Last month I started writing diaries with one of my groups. I have a problem with correcting mistakes, I think my correcting could confused my students and demotivate them, so I try to rewrite and reformulate their errors.
2.I use end-of-course questionaries with my adult students. But I prefer talking with them, discussing their problems to know what they need. And adult students are open, are not worried to express their ideas, problems..
3.I use self-evaluation. Students think about their strengths and weeknesses and together we try to find the way how to improve their language. After a month we usually look at how succesful they have been.
I think it is good to use different kinds of ongoing evaluation, such as recycling task, tutorials etc. I try to do it. First I study my group and then I decide which kind is better for them, but generally I use all the kinds.
