Most of the time I use live listening, because sometimes my students do not understand recorded listenings, they say the dialogues are too fast; but also I am trying to work with recorded listenings, I consider it is important for children to listen different accents, voices, speeds...
An idea was to show the pictures while I was reading a story, it helped students to get a better idea about it. I think it did work.
