Designing a CD cover and posters advertising gigs for a band.
Even though I am not teaching children at the moment, I believe it is really important to find interesting and engaging topics that students might enjoy to guarantee an effective and pleasant learning experience. Taking about music and the various genres that we can find in this universe, generally attracts them and it can also raise creativity when it comes to designing their own CD cover and poster of the bands they like. So the project becomes meaningful for them.
What other kinds of projects have you (or other teachers you know) done?
I asked the students to design a food pyramid in teams, classifying the healthy food in every level or step of the pyramid. It was fun for them and they did not get bored.
