I find it a bit difficult to talk about "in and out of fashion" nowadays, because I feel like every trend could be "in" if you have the style or personality to pull it off.
I for example see that someone can dress with a "hippie" style one day, and it doesn´t mean they are hippies, you even might see them another day wearing torn jeans, or a three piece suit.
I do see pepole following trends when it comes to hairstyles. Like mohicans are back in, or in women you can see shoulder lenght to be very common these day, and the "balayage" style.
