I've been thinking about yubbies' phenomenon in Catalonia and certainly you can identify this group of people here. They are formed usually self-employed guys, specially concerned about environmental problems and got some kind of aura which tells you that they are calmed and nice people. From an appearance perspective, I link yubbies' men to the hipster aesthetics: they have got a thick beard and wear old-fashioned shirts in brown or green tones. Besides, if they need glasses, they use to wear thick modelling clay frames (I'm not sure about using the correct term).
Yubbies that I know are successful in their lifes: they have a partner and a good job usually related to a creative profession which maybe doesn't allow them to be rich but to live comfortably. They like projects: to do up an old flat in the center of Gràcia neighborhood, to plan a travel to get in touch with Japanese culture (they eat a lot of sushi)... and to have children. Indeed, children become another project. When that happens, everything turns around the new born child and they start what under my point of view is a misunderstood education. They may stop working, practice cosleeping and maybe breastfeeding until three years old. That's their choice, of course, but for sure it will affect the future of this generation of children.
