Nice description Francis! I was born in Switzerland and I go there to see family - but I don't know about the Migros Lemon Ice tea, I'll have to try it next time I go :)
See you again,
Pieter

A trip in Switzerland?

Post by Francis » Tue Apr 07, 2020 8:14 am

Hi, I'm here to tell you about the touristic attractions in this country.
There's a lot to see BUT. There's only a few things do do in a single city and you'll have to move from town to town to get a pleasent trip.
Lets start with the german speaking part:
You should definitly visit Luzern and take the boat to see the lake. You can also clim over different mountains, go on the top of the "Jungfrau" the "Säntis". You can also to to Solothurn and visit the old town (road). Eventhough it isn't the most famous town abroad you should go and visit the capital wich is not Genève or Zurich but Bern.
For a more rustic trip, you should go to the center of the country (this is where the story of our country began).
In the french speaking part there's a lot do do around the watches topic. You can visit some museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds. As people are quite friendly in this town, you can go and drink some beers. Neuchatel is also a nice town where you can walk around it's lake. If you'd like to spend your holidays to the moutains, then got to the Valais. This is the place to go if you'd like to ski, drink good wines, try out some swiss specialities, such as: Fondue, Röstis and Raclette.
Speaking of food, theres ONE thing that every Swiss is obsessed with and can't live without. Try Migros's Lemon Ice Tea!
You can also try Fribourg's merringue and cheese. Let's talk about THE thing that comes everytime that someone talks about this country: The chocolate. The best place to go and visit is named "Camille Bloch", you can visit their manufactury in Courtelary.
We also have an italian speaking part, where you can visit some lakes and enjoy the weather.
There's also a 4th speaking area wich is called "Grisons". It's in the east of Switzerland with a huge natural park. You might see animals such as bears, wolfes, dears, and so on.
I hope you'd like to visit this country now! Every swiss under 40 years old should be able to speak in english with you, don't worry to get lost^^
