Speaking activities

In secondary, in third grade in Unit 5, when we need arguments in favor of and against wearing school uniforms or junk food. The students look form information, read text to help with the arguments for a basic debate, of course they have a lot of mistakes but I think is a good way that they use and practice the language and is a great opportunity to participate. When the students are talking, I prefer not to interrupt them, I make note of the mistake and we correct them together, if the mistake is common in the whole of the group we check together. My advice for the teacher is to make sure that the topic is the interest for the students, the activity needs to be short The feedback they receive helps them to form a more sophisticated idea about a target language form.
