Unit 10 – Course Evaluation & Self-Evaluation
Q1- I use the " Students' enjoyment of the classes" way of evaluation though not a paper base. I usually ask the sts to tell me "orally" what are the new ideas that they want me to add to the cals to make it more active - for the weaker class- or to make it more productive - with the strong class-. After that, I add them to the class for them to see the difference. Actually the sts will be more interested in the class as they see their ideas are used and came in handy. I suggest that we use the activities in the book where the sts keep a record of their marks. After two weeks, we can check their marks and mark the weaknesses in the class which we can all work on.
Q2- According to the questionnaire that I have in the company where I work, it covers everything I need to know about my students' opinion. actually, I relay on them when it come to evaluation. Also I do't ask for feedback from my students but this course has drown my attention to this important point which i have to cover in my classes.
Q3- Until now i didn't use any of the activities which are discussed exercise 4. For the additional ideas that i can add to this point is that, I can ask the students to work through out the course in pairs in which they can monitor each other and write me a report of each other after each two weeks or so. During this process, they have to come back to me as their teacher to help them perform this task. By that, the'll get more benefits from each other correcting their friends mistakes.
