Hello everyone!

I agree with all of you about asking permission to the owner of a picture if you want to show it on your social media. It happens to me almost every week. I've a lot of nice pictures on my Instagram profile and I use to be asked to repost my pictures on the profiles of people I don't even know. Sometimes I find my pictures posted without permissin and that makes me very angry. So, I think we should all respect the privacy of everybody in this kind of situations. First of all, ask for permission and always do mention to the owner of the picture.

But I think the situation mentioned on the exercises is totally different. I believe, the guy in the text, who is collecting pictures of random people, is not doing anything wrong. He just collects the pictures he founds and I assume they are antique and forgotten by the owners or the photographers. It's a little creepy but also funny, because you can imagine and invent histories about all this people and places.

In my opinión I would not like that somebody desplayed a picture of mine on a Web side or in a network without my permission. So, defenetly I do understand how people can feel when it happens But when the found pictures are very antique and it's quite impossible ask for the owners, I think it is right.
In addition, it is good that somebody keep and show them. It's like a poetic way to not forget the past.

In my opinion, I found disrespectful to display photos without the permission of the owners. I haven't seen a picture of mine in a web site or somewhere else, but I definitely wouldn't like to see my pictures in other sites. I don´t even like to see myself in a friend's facebook if they haven't asking for my permission.

In my opinión to display found photos without permission of their owners it´s unacceptable because you never know the use that people would give them. Nowadays with social networks have increased Cyber offences relating to the improper use of images.

I think that is not good show photos without the permission of the owner, maybe cuild be because of the privacity of their life or personal experiences.

Thanks for the message Ana, wow, what an amazing coincidence. Do you know the story of that photo? Was it an article about your family or something? And yes, somebody making money from "your" photo does seem a bit strange.

I came accross to a guy= There is not "to" in this expression: I came across a guy.. Otherwise your messgae was 100%!

I think using someone elses pictures is not nice, a couple of months ago I was searching the web and I came accross to a guy who was selling pictures in old newspapers, and funny thing one of those pictures was my grandmother sitting in her livingroom with my uncles and aunts. It was very nice to see that picture but at the same time just thinking anyone can have access to it just felt wrong.
So no I am not in favor of this practice.
