Bullfighting is considered a sport but in my opinion it does not comply with the minimum requirements to be an sport. It is more a cultural heritage. It has more to do with the cult to the animal and the fight between the man and the beast.
To be a sport, none of the participants has to die, so for me it is an old tradition that needs to be banned. It is cruel and it means that the animal is sacrifie. Moreover, it is very dangerous for the torero
In the same way, I think that the amateur bull runs that happens during the festivities in many towns in Spain should also be banned.
The animals suffer from stress and in some villages they are also sacrifyied.
