I think that Mesoamerican ball game was a religious ceremony, but it wasn't a sport as ones we have nowadays. Everything that this game involves is religious: the sun, the ball... But I don't think that the sports we have around these days have a religious sense, they are only there to have fun, to be active and to keep ourselves fit.
On the theme of bullfighting, I do not consider it a sport or an activity, moreover, I consider it a lack of respect for animals (the bull) and obviously I think it should be prohibited. I understand that before they had nothing else to do, but now in the times we live in, it seems incredible to me that the "art of bullfighting" is still practiced.
