Who do you think built the Easter Island statues? Why? How?
I think Easter Island statues were first carved in a volcanic crater and then transported and erected on ground by Polynesian population.
I think the islanders using different transport methods to move the moai, maybe walking by pulling it side to side with three hemp ropes - one tied to the back to stop it dropping face-first and two on either side.

Why Polynesian population built the Easter Island statues? I only have a theory. I think that statues were a sign to warn foreign sailors that the island was living by humans.

Yes I would like to visit Easter Island because it’s the world’s most remote inhabited island and it’s famous for its enormous stone statutes that have an incredible history.
