As we read in the Dictionary of spanish Surnames, "ventura" proceeds in part as noun, ventura, what means luck/happiness/ and good fortune. Something strange in my family...!!!
I have been able to investigate that this name is originaly from spanish land in Huesca ( Aragon ). In the past apparently there was a family in Aragon Kingdom that was famous for making weapons. I'm very surprised.
