I live in a very small village, in fact it isn't a village, just a hamlet in La Rioja. I live in a what is called "village house", a two-story stone house.
Originally it wasn't made for people, but for animals. It was a haystack-stable for cows.
The house is placed in the mountain, we live at 1000 metres high. It's a wonderfull place: few houses, few people, rouded by vegetation, a stream...
In ten years the changes have been continuous. We almost rebuilt all the house: the roof were caved in, there were no windows, it was an empty/open space without ceiling between floors...
After hard work we could move in even if it wasn't yet finished.
Today there still remains some work to be done, but they are not essentials. I am very happy for living here. For me it's a "palace".
