Where do you live?
I live in Zarautz which is a medium size town in the Basque country. Zarautz is situated in the coast and it is a touristic place in summer.
What type of building do you live in?
I live in a flat with balcony overlooking the street. The building has seven floors and I live in the fifth.
Is this a typical type of building in your city or country?
Yes, it is. The most typical building in our country is like this for the towns and the cities, and in the rural small villages people live in individual houses.
I would like to live in an individual house. Similar towns to Zarautz in the Basque country´s french part like San Juan de Luz or Biarritz have another type of buildings wich I love. They live in individual houses with a small garden around it. The decoration of their houses is the typical Basque style, with white walls, windows with wood blinds painted in green or red and roofs painted in red. I love this Basque style that we only preserve in the French part of the Basque country.
Do you like living there? Why? Why not?
I like to live in Zarautz, the town is fantastic with a lot of things to do if you like sports and sea. Referring to my flat I am happy; the views are very clean without any house in front of us and the flat is very luminous.
I would prefer to live in Zarautz in an individual house with a small garden to relax there on sunny days.
Have you changed anything since you've lived there, or are you planning to change anything?
Recently my wife wanted to change the decoration of the entrance. A decorator came at home and she suggest some other changes. Finally, we change the decoration of the entrance, corridor, main bedroom and the saloon, also we change both bathrooms including changes of some walls. Two months of works at home. It was a very hard period but the final result is good and the flat is more comfortable than before.
