Thanks for writing Rena. I agree with you, a lot of the stuff they show on TV is unwatchable. But there are some fabulous series, don't you think? Have you watched Mad Men, The Wire, Modern Family and so on? Very good for learning English as well!
One thing:
I can not tolerate somebody sitting all the time in .. etc = This sentence is a little bit awkward. Maybe you can say for example: I can't tolerate people who are stuck in front of the TV all the time instead of doing something more useful or creative.
Happy new year and keep up the good work!

TV and me

Hi,
I have to say that I rarely watch TV, and I am not very interested in topics connected with television. Generally I think that television is very boring, pisky and sometimes nasty, and I can not tolerate somebody sitting all the time in front of the screen and being unable to find out other kind of activities. Of course there are some very nice TV channels, but just very few. So, let's see my answers.
1) No I do not, alltough I have to admit that there are some really funny ones.
2) I suppose that the football matches and the elimination games in wich a a jury is looking for the best singer, dancer, cook, etc.
3) Yes, they have. In one corner of the screen you can find a red or yellow circle, with a number inside . The red circle means that the programme is not recommended for children at all.
4) No, I have not.
5) No, I would never.
6) I have no remote controls, but in my parents' libing room you could find at least two: one for the TV and an other one for the DVD-player.
7) The most exciting are some documentaries and the most boring are the match broadcastings.
8) The elimination games and the reality shows with celebrities are the most popular. (Afortunately)
