In my opinion, the first step is doing a CV in the right form, with photo and all the qualifications or live experience that improve our person.
After that, there aren't a rule or a particular advice, because for get the occupation, we can't do anymore than wait the work's call and answer it in the better way we know: with our personality and our knowledge.
And don't forget to be professional!
