Actions that people are doing to protect animals in danger of extinction:

- Report activities such as hunting, fishing and / or selling protected species.
- Start a petition to save an animal in danger of extinction or support them in social networks and in your circle of friends.
- Respect the periods of closure and the spaces where the animals live.
- Avoid and denounce the illegal possession of animals in danger of extinction.
- Do not pollute waters of rivers, seas and other natural spaces by throwing garbage and not consume products or services from companies that do not have an ecological activity.

Native animals of Uruguay that are in danger of extinction

Uruguay, like the rest of South America, is a land rich in diversity of fauna and flora. Pressures of human origin endanger the habitats of many species that can be appreciated in this continent. Keeping these animals is a priority in our country.

- Coatí
These mammals are recognized for their voluminous tail and social customs. When they search for food, they crouch with their tail raised, at high speed. They are very social and live in bands of up to twenty young individuals, in warm environments of forest, forest or jungle.

- Guazubirá
It is a small deer up to 65 centimeters high, reddish-gray in color. Native to America, his habitat is currently diminished by the effects of hunting and the destruction of the environments he frequents.

Inhabiting the mounts of nocturnal routine, this animal feeds on pastures, fruits and fungi. The male differs from the female by thin antlers up to 15 centimeters long.
