In USA in New York and Pennsylvania they play a game called Lacrosse. They play it in different fields. There are 10 players in each team. They use protective gear: helmet, gloves, shoulders pads, and elbow pads that is in the case of men and in the case of women the only protective gear required is eyegear, while goaliers wear helmets and protective pads. The game last approximately 60 minutes and is divided in 4 periods of 15 minutes each. It starts and the beginning of each quarter and after each goal wth face off the players have to lay their stiks on the groun parallel to the mid-line and the heads of their stickd have to be opposite sides of the ball. At the whistle, the face off men scrap for the ball often by clamping. It under their stick and flicking it out to their teammates. When one of the teams has possessions of the ball, they have to bring it into their offensive zone and try to score a goal. Due to the offsides rule, settled play involves six offensive players versus 6 defensive players and a goalie. If the balls goes out of the bounds , posession is awarded to the team that did not touch it last. You can't do this when the ball is shot towards the goal. Missed shots that go out of bounds are awarderd to the team that has a player who is the the closest to the ball when and where the ball goes out. During the play The team have to substitute players in and out if they leave and enter the field through the substitution area, sometimes referred to as on the fly. Ater penalties and goals players may freely substitute and can´t go through the substitution area.
