On a regular basis I use Think 1 and Prepare 1 by Cambridge. THe fisrt one for the pre-int level of 11-12 y.o. and the second one is for starters of 9-10 y.o. who just started learning English
Think SB fits well with the WB and each part connects with the task from the workbook. For instance, WB consists the extra task for the reading part from the SB. THere are lits of interactive materials amd resources in LMS Cambridge cite.
The topics are interesting, useful and enjoyable for teenagers.
THe grammar rules are clearly explained. First focused on meaning, then on form and finally in context.
SS have the opportunities to use the language in speaking part as a freer activity.
As for teacher's book, it's not convenient or easy to use. There aren't many lead in or warm up activities.
Prepare 1 fits to starters who have never studied English before.
The TB easy yo use with lots of warming up and axtra activities to create the interest. It consists the tasks for weak and mixed ability students and fast - finishers.
The book covers and balances all language skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing.
At the end of the unit there are lots of speaking or drawing games.
Unfortunately, there aren't any visual or interactive resources on the Cambridge website.
