The coursebooks I chose are:
Performance 1 by Jeremy Edgar. Publishing house Macmillan and the other is English in Context 1 by Irma Angeles Angeles and Max Sigg. Publishing House Angeles Editores. The topic is "The Clothing" the versions are a little old. The books introduce the vocabulary in different ways: The first one with pictures and names below besides one tape with the pronounciation of each one then has an exercise where the students can practice the writing such as complete the names, classify the words in clothes for men and women after that the students will practice in oral form the spelling of the vocabulary in pairs and then they will listen to conversation which has to complete and say in pairs changing the names of clothing after they will identify the people are wearing and do a description of some favorite actors that they admire in written form.
And the second one the authors introduce the vocabulary with a couple wears the items that are listed next to them there isn't any color in the image and no instructions next there is a crosswords that the students have to do only 5 articles of clothing to find in this case is written practice after that there is a picture where two persons appear without color in the clothes here the students can speak what are they wearing? for writing only three exercises and finally describing their favorite actors in speaking form too.
I would select the first one because they have more frequency in repeating the vocabulary in different ways such as teaching vocabulary with pictures, classiffy, complete, speak, listen, identify, match, relate with their daily life etc. According to this for teaching a vocabulary there must be a repetition with multiple encounters where the learners manipulate words and they see by themselves involve in a emotional relationship with them even the more one recalls it becomes more memorable besides here they are being used in different forms by the students and they express personal experiences talking about their favorite actors and the other book doesn't have all of this.
