unit 9 use of internet in teaching
Posted: Fri Apr 17, 2020 11:45 amthe internet is an essential element of teaching these days whether to send and receive emails between students and teachers or to get resources or looking for different activities to enhance the operation of teaching and learning.for me personally i exchange vert useful emails between myself and other teachers or myself and my students, in fact i am currently using the google classrooms to communicate with my students and teaching them,we also use some apps to communicate for more explanation and clarification for my lessons.
using the internet for teaching is amazing but it has some small problems when it comes to some students who are more engaged when they are in the class more than being in an online class ,,some students need more personal engagement in the process because they feel more free to ask questions or have a face to face discussion,this problem is solved by making online direct meeting where things are more clear and kind of similar to a regular class.
now according to language teaching so far the internet is doing a great job and extremely assisting the process by providing unlimited resources and easy access to many websites which you can find whatever you are looking for but still i don't believe that this will affect the teacher's role in the learning process because we will always need more explanation and more direct contact with the teacher specially with the languages because one of the most important factors in learning a language is hearing the language and getting familiar with it specially if it is coming from the teacher.
