I disagree with statement number 1. I have worked with music for my groups of 10 years old and they liked it, listened it and sang it. I think this happened because i chose songs that they knew and liked.
I agree with the second statement, because it is important that YL know where the lesson is heading. Familiary with the structure of the lesson gives them security and clear guidelines about what is expected of them at different stages of the lesson.
I agree with statement number 3. Some children will finish more quickly that others, up to point, allow for individuals to work at their own speed. But make sure that you achieve our lesson aims this means having extra materials at hand for fast finishers
