I prefer working with the Recorded text first to expose Ss. to the foreign language, then I ask ss to say what they understood, without correcting them.
I play the recorded text again. (Sometimes they correct what they have already said)
Finally I ask Ss. to focus on the task they have to solve (questionnaire, true or false, etc ) and I read the text for them (Live listening).
