.-I agree, because when I am planning , I have to look for more exercises and also information in another books.
Besides others have unfamiliar context and the vocabulary and activities are not appropriate for children, according to their age and maturity.
.-I agree, becuase it seems that some publishing houses do not be awere about the workbooks they are selling, I mean the books are outer context, they do not enough pictures, some of them like Fernandez Editores put long paragraphs that kids do not understand and also they get bored, tired, etc.
.-I agree, some most of the publishing houses I have been working with do not give us posters, videos or board games, only small flashcards.
.- In my case is the federal government who chooses the workbooks, so imagine they do not have an idea, the authorities are only imitating educational models and they are not taking in count the children´s context, their real life.
.-Not at all, because some students do not like to read a lot, may be some short tales or stories , but also different activities for the different learning styles.
.-I agree, most of the older students do not like to make an effort, only those who really like the language in this case English; they do not have the necesity to cheat the teacher or themselves, the rest do it.
.-I agree, in my particular case I do the same, because the coursebook is horrible (FERNANDEZ EDITORES), it contains difficult exercises, grammar, vocabulary; my students do not have the previous knowlegde about the language, I work in a public school, but always I can find good things from the workbooks I have.
