I took the news from the BBC and Fox News about the Eagles ceremony in the white house that happened 2 days ago.
One article don’t show most of the information about the event, or other information that influenced the event. And show a once sided part of it, this can be seen in the short article information and the way the title was presented.
While the other article provides more context about the issue, it also provides both sides of a problem. More background information, even an analysis from an on ground reporter at the event.
• What are the differences in style between the two articles?
One of the articles is more about getting a reaction in the reader than provide it with all the information to have the reader make a conclusion by themselves.
• Which article did you find easier to read? Why?
The first article was easier to read, it was made that way. To give the reader some info with an established conclusion.
• What sort of person do you think reads the printed edition of each newspaper?
The first article is mostly for people with an already set mentality about what they want to read, while the second one is for people that want to know the details about the event, the why? That happened and choose a side based on that information.
