LABELS

LABELS

Postby AMERIK » Wed Aug 07, 2019 3:29 am

Hi everyone,

Currently in Mexico there are two predominant sociopolitical groups called "Chairos" and "Fifis". The first are those who are for the left, politicaly speaking, and most of them may be seen as poor or marginated people. The latter are those who are for the rigth, and frequently can be considered as wealthy people. These terms come from our popular contexts. "Chairos" and "Fifis" usually have arguments about the way our country is being governed. And I also would like to add that it's disgusting to label or to tag people. Nevertheless, there are a significant number of people who like and accept these "labels".

Hello everyone,

I was just thinking if YUPPIES stands for "young urban professionals", what would YUBBIES mean? Young urban businessmen? Any other ideas? :)
To add to this topic, I live in Slovakia and recently there has been an increase in a hipster community - these people behave very eco-friendly, i.e. they save fules emissions, eat clean, reduce and recycle waste, upcycle their clothes, have natural colored hair and many of them are self-employed. This social group has been inspiring me, as I would rather consider myself as a middle-youther.

LABELS

Hello everyone,
usually I don't like to describe people using LABELS. Anyway, I was thinking about a group of adult people spending more and more time on the social Networks like Facebook or Instagram posting an incredible number of photos in the vain attempt to seem younger than they are. I called them ASA.
