Nowadays, regarding people's clothes and hairstyles, the only rule is: wear anything you like.

Only in some contexts, perhaps in a certain job, or in some other places, it is not possible to do that.

Anyway, I would call the current style the "whatever" style.

Hi Susana, thanks for your interesting message! You think people don't follow fashion trends nowadays? My impression is that a lot of people conform: for example everybody wears skinny trousers that are too short and they don't wear socks. Also you see lots of people wearing very small jackets. But that's the guys, maybe girls are less conformist? :)

Thanks for your message. I think people still follow some fashion trends, but maybe not like in the past.
For example, in recent years more and more people wear ripped jeans and many of them have tattos, but if you don't, that's also fine.
In my opinion, nowadays, it is possible to belong to any group of friends, and still keep your own style.
