PLANNING A UNIT OF WORK

1.- I think Deniz plans lessons are most like me. Most of the time , I always worry about working with the different skills with my students, but sometimes is impossible to concentrate in all of their needs, because it´s a big deal if in one lesson you just concentrate in some of them. even if I use variety of activities. I always start the class in order to checking the homework, introducing the unit with some vocabulary activities, grammar... at firt could be boring to start at the same way, but it makes me things easier, they know what's coming. The students who are not very good in english ,this way makes them feel more safe, because they know what is next in the class.

2. The order of the qualities for me would be :
*Logic
*Variety
*Flow
*Relevance
*Balance
*Cohesion

WHY: because;
Logic: I think for students the learning will be easier and more natural if one thing comes naturally after another one.
Variety:Nobody likes repeating and repeating the same things. It helps the students motivation and interesting topics with lots of material etc..
Another one could be: tic´s, because nowadays it is very important to use them in order to do an interesting class.

3. When I plan a lesson:
I usually plan a week, which includes 3 lessons, each one during 50 minutes.
I don´t like planning too much to follow the time because there are many situations out of your hands, for that reason I think it´s impossible to use correctly the time, which mean they won't be paying a lot of attention and this way could be easy to re-design the lessons ahead.
I start my class with the aims and some activity about it, then they´ve to participate in groups about their results.
I always use the coursebook and the notebook too, But I try to use extra activities out of them.

4. My advice for the new teacher will be:
Try to find interesting activities, because exist mixed-abilities and different skills for each group. Use it in order to get an interesting good class, the students are more interesting in that kind of activities, when you use extra-material and tech.
