If you begin your journey from the city of Veracruz, it’s a 2-hour drive.
It’s a simple drive from the city, all you have to do is follow the coast line up north passing though Cardel, Zempoala, Vega de Alatorra, Casitas and then Costa Esmeralda.
Its a beautiful destination for a romantic getaway, it has secluded beaches and some boutique hotels that are not particularly expensive.
The food is great and the weather, most of the year, is perfect for beach lovers.
