As an interesting holiday destination in my area, I’m thinking about Vall de Boí, in the Lerida’s Pyrenees. This is a place which is different from all the typical beach destinations everybody would imagine when thinking about Catalunya.
People can get there easily from Barcelona, by car, the journey there would take about two hours and a half.
There you can stay in one of the many hotels, apartments, rural houses, guest houses, etc., as it is a very touristic area mainly because of its rich Romanesque heritage, which made all the area to be considered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
There you can visit a huge quantity of beautiful and interesting Romanesque chapels, which contain some magnificent masterpieces of the Romanesque style, as sculptures, paintings, etc..
You can do as well a lot of fantastic walking excursions through the Pyrenees and enjoy all its beauty.
Tips for visitors: you can do an interesting walking route which will allow you to visit all the most interesting Romanesque chapels. You can buy a bonus to visit each chapel.
You can also spend a day in a very known spa in Caldes de Boí.
You can visit lots of enchanting small villages and enjoy some impressive landscapes if you visit the area in autumn. You’ll see all the beautiful autumn colors and take lots of fantastic pictures. However, it is also very beautiful if you visit the area in winter, as you can also enjoy the snow and skiing if you like it, or in summer or spring as well.

This sounds like my perfect holiday destination. A place full of nature, not crowded at all, with a nice weather in summer ( I mean, not extremely hot) and with lots of things to see and to do. Thanks for all the useful info : )
