1. Do you think it is best to avoid errors in class?
I think when a person is learning a new language mistakes are a natural part of the process of forming and testing hypotheses about the language and evidence of learning, during the process the students refine and improve the hypothesis. The learner needs feedback, this feedback, which usually comes from the teacher, so we need to give them the opportunity to think and talk about their language use and the mistakes they have made help students to discover new things about language.
4. How do you help learners to see that making mistakes can be a positive thing?
We need to say the students the mistakes can be a sign that they have learned something new. The mistakes are a natural part of learning any new skill. In order to help learners to form new ideas about the target language, we need to give them the opportunity to think and talk about their language use and the mistakes they have made.
