1. I use different speaking activities. I try to push my students to spoeak as much as possible. At the begiinning of every lesson, students have about 3-5 minutes to talk in pairs or small groups - topics are duifferent. I have done lot of a lot of questions and topics (everyday life, sportts and other interests...). Atudents try to discuss the questions, I go from one pair to another, help, listen, correct mistakes. Students are used to speak, they are worried about mistakes. Everybody has to participate.
Advice - do not worry about the noise, mistakes ...
2. Students make mistakes, no problem, I correct them immediately or after the task. Students write and correct the mistakes, they have a diary etc.

Sounds very good Magda! This is the kind of thing students often enjoy most, and if there is feedback or if they then have to write a summary of what they talked about, they will also learn a lot. Take a look at this article: http://www.guardian.co.uk/education/200 ... kemeddings
