ACTIVITIES THAT I USE IN CLASS TO HELP DEVELOP STUDENTS´LISTENING SKILLS:
- I do dictations with my students checking previous target language (students check their classmates´exercise and I give a "happy face" to those who get an excellent writing, they can ask for repetition or an example of the word too)
- I try to present authentic material with images and real sentences (texts) about people near them including myself using colorful material. The students really like when I tell them things about people who they know.
- They love to listen and sing in English too.
WAYS OF MAKING LIVE TEACHER LISTENINGS SUCCESSFUL:
- When I present a recording I show images and key words to help students to understand the listening.
- Using real questions, display questions, true-false statements.
