Using the internet
For question number 1: Yes I use internet to get material for my classes like power point presentations, songs, games, grammar activities, videos, strategies for teach different grammatical points , I also compare lesson plans in order to modify mine for make it better and thus help the students to learn easily some topic.
Students use internet as dictionary, translator, pronunciation, for search information about a topic, use web sites for help them in a project but sometimes is impossible to verify the given information , one of the most important problem I consider is that students do not analyse the information, they just copy and paste and that’s a waste of time. Another problem is that not all the students have access to internet, in this case I do exceptions because I can´t condition or affect the evaluation of a student if he or she don´t use the internet, of course in this case they have to do the task in a traditional form.
I create a Facebook group to receive some tasks so I avoid handling so much physic material, or to give some announcements, remain them an exam date, or for answer doubts about their project, etc. Finally I think in future the use of internet will be more generalized, in fact is a great tool for teaching and learning a new language, teachers will continue to be a guide for learning, so if we can achieve our goal as teachers in less time using internet, perfect!
