Unit 9: Using the Internet
Posted: Thu Nov 30, 2017 12:11 am1. How have you used email and the Internet to help you in your teaching? For example, have you ever used materials from the Internet in your classes? Do you use email to communicate with your students? Do you belong to any kind of teaching forum?
When I prepare my lessons plans I include activities from the internet to step up the grammar,vocabulary , different kind of exerccise or I look for images that I’m going to use to present a topic and I don’t use email with my students I think it’s very personal.
2. What are some problems involved in using the Internet in your teaching? How would you suggest avoiding or solving these problems?
We have a very bad service from internet at the school that I work, and not all students have a way to Access the internet from home, because they live far away.
3. Make some predictions about the way technology is likely to affect the teaching of languages in the next five to ten years. For example, what kinds of translation and interactive programs will we be using? Will this make teaching easier? Will it affect the role of the teacher?
I’m not sure what kind of translation and interactive programs we will use in the future but I hope problems with internet get better at schools and every student can work with this excellent resource that will make teaching easier for teachers, because always students are going to need a teacher.
