Fruitarian Diet

Hello everybody. I´d like to write something about FRUITARIAN DIET

• What does the diet consist of? What can and cannot be eaten?
This Diet consist basically in to eat mainly fruit, at least 75% of your aliments, should be fruit.
You only can eat fruit (mainly), some vegetables and a little bit of raw.
• What is the philosophy behind the diet?
Fruitarianism may appear to be a new and quite radical concept, while actually it is a revival from a very ancient way of eating, dating back millions of years. As you might imagine, our ancestors did not live on bread and processed foods, but rather on the vibrant fruits and vegetables that are available in Nature.
• What benefits are claimed for it?
Theorically, these are main benefits for this diet:
 Short-term cleansing or weight loss.
 As a brief spiritual exercise.
 Lesser-percentage fruit diets less problematic.
 The people at the heart of the fruitarian movement.
• What do critics of the diet say about it?
Beyond Vegetarianism is highly critical of the fruitarian diet. It claims many followers of the diet suffer from intense obsessions with food, social isolation, mental problems and hunger. Even if you supplement a fruitarian diet with avocados, nuts and dates, you still won't be consuming a healthy amount of protein. As for the hare-core advocates of fruitarian diets, Beyond Vegetarianism says bluntly, "Many fruitarian 'experts' appear to be mentally unbalanced, in our opinion."
• Can you find the name of any famous people who follow the diet?
Mahatma Gandhi was a briefly followed a diet similar to fruitarianism. He and his followers repeatedly discontinued these diets as in the long term they proved unsustainable. Also Steve Jobs (co-founder of Apple Computer, Inc.) for a period in the 1970s.
Regarding websites about information of new diets, there are a lot information if you look throughout Google.

Guerrero

Thanks for your investigation of the Fruitarian diet. I love fruit, but I think this sounds a bit extreme. Strange that there seems to be a link between mental instability and this diet! :)

Losing weight is hard to do if we're stressed. I've tried so many diets and exercises, but all of them are not effective to lose some pounds. You can minimize your body's production of cortisol by simply by learning to relax. And if you need a little help doing this, medical marijuana could become your new best friend. Especially if it can shrink your waistline in the process. It can also help you in terms of chronic pain, bone injuries, eating disorder/anorexia, anxiety disorders and panic attacks, inflammation, even cancer and a lot more. Nowadays, there are several products of cannabis created, not only for smoking. Like this one https://blimburnseeds.com/news/marijuana/medical/benefits/sleep-problems-medical-cannabis/. So far, it really helps me to relax and I can see that there's a changes in my weight. If you have any questions or opinions please let me know. Thanks!
