Venom can't figure out Way to Win This Psychic Face
Some people will see the premise of Venom and ask, "precisely why, Others of us will consider it and ask, "have you thought to, A sci fi split individuality comedy featuring Tom Hardy doing psychic battle with a pissy, Parasitic intergalactic symbiote? There is absolutely nothing wrong with this idea, Which at least promises a welcome dose of what the -censured- fun to a largely not required comic book movie enterprise. If only the makers of Venom believed in their own personal ideas.

The symbiotes are vaguely ugly and creepy, although kind of boring; The action is fast and busy and mechanized; the majority of the characters dull and scream y. Hardy also acts engaged and confused, But at least he definitely seems to be having some fun talking to himself. And the movie there are occassions when works when we're privy to Eddie and Venom's internal bickering: "Think of alone as my ride, The alien growls at his real human host. "I know everything about you I am within your head. you are a loser, Eddie, Venom even gives Eddie dating advice at many point.
That's honestly funny stuff. I wish there have been more of it. But the film feels like its makers either discovered its humorous potential the inherent ridiculousness of this concept belatedly or that they blinked and pulled the brakes on the comedy before things got too out of hand. A nighttime motorcycle chase through the streets of san francisco bay area should be a terrific chance for the movie to strut its stuff, With so many potentials for slapstick and visual inventiveness; Our idol is, anyway, A guy whose body locations out indestructible, Warp speed geysers of slick black serious goo. But the chase is in a big way unimaginative and forgettable.
