Where do these organisations work?

The World Bank is headquartered in Washington, DC.
AidAid work in Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, China Democratic republic of Congo, Dominican republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Greece, Guatemala, Guinea, Bissau, Haiti, India, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Laos, Liberia, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar, Nepal, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somaliland, Spain, Tanzania, Thailand, Uganda, United Kingdom, USA, Vietnam, Zambia.
Caritas work in Spain and Southern countries.
Last year, Care International supported more than 800 poverty-fighting projects in 72 countries to reach more than 59 million people. Care not only feeds the hungry, we also help tackle underlying causes of poverty so that people can become self-sufficient.
Oxfam act in an integrated manner in more than fifty countries in Africa, America and Asia: cooperate on over 500 programs of development and humanitarian aid, encourage and promote fair trade campaigns and social mobilization.


What do they do?

The World Bank: Their mission is to fight poverty with passion and professionalism for lasting results and to help people help themselves and their environment by providing resources, sharing knowledge, building capacity and forging partnerships in the public and private sectors.
ActionAid is an international anti-poverty agency whose aim is to fight poverty worldwide.
The social work develops Caritas is wide and very diversified. Not only develops activities for the care, rehabilitation or social integration of victims of poverty and social exclusion, but places particular emphasis on advocacy and denunciation of the causes of the injustices that create these situations.
Care International tackles underlying causes of poverty so that people can become self-sufficient. Recognizing that women and children suffer disproportionately from poverty, CARE places special emphasis on working with women to create permanent social change Women are at the heart of CARE's community-based efforts to improve basic education, prevent the spread of HIV, increase access to clean water and sanitation, expand economic opportunity and protect natural resources.
