In my country there are any species thretened, one of them is the Iberian Linx "linx pardinus", it is a wonderful feline who lives in Andalusia in litle ecosystems, in Doñana National Park and Sierra of Andujar National Park. Actually there are only 250 specimens on the Earth all of them in this National Parks. In 1960 the Iberian linx was extended on Portugal, Spain and South France and there was 5.000 specimens. The reasons of this decline was principally two. The first and more important was the introduction in Europe the mixoma virus, it´s produce a drastic reduction in rabit population "oryctolagus cuniculus" that is the principal mean of Iberian linx (90%). And the human development, specially turistic and residential construction.
Now the Spanish Goberment has a special proyect to protect the iberian linx and now is future is less black.
