threatened microorganisms

I read in a newpaper that around 450.000 species of plants and animals will disappear in about 50 years.
In the planet there are between 10 and 20 millions alives species, wich we only know the 10%.
Many species that will disappear are microorganisms that we don't see, but they are very important for the cleaning of the water and the air so
for the survival of the rest of alive organisms.
The governments and the society have to take measures to avoid this disaster for our planet.
