1. Have you, or has anyone you know, ever suffered from RSI or SAD?
I’ve never suffered RSI but I’m on risk, I know it.
About SAD, I always have prefered the summer. I prefer to suffer high temperatures but with the sun, I feel too much better.
2. Do you make sure that you sit and type correctly when you use a computer or typewriter? Do you ever have pains in any parts of your body from using the computer for long periods of time?
I know that I’m not sitting well, sometimes I feel some pain on my right wrist and in my sholuder that dessapear at the weekend. I try to sit correctly, but, to stand for a long time in that position it’s very difficult to me.
3. What advice would you give to someone who has just bought a computer to prevent problems like RSI and aches and pains in the back, shoulders and arms? Write five suggestions. Read the suggestions of your classmates and vote for the best five.
Suggestions:
-Seating in a correct posture.
- Making postural exercises of 5 minutes every 2 hours.
-Making pauses of work
-Taking care that the furniture is ergonomic and suitable To Go to the
doctor if symptons or pains.
4. Do you think the exercises described in READING are very useful and effective?
It’s possible. There are a lot of them.
5. Do you do any exercises during or after working at a desk for a long period of time? Describe two.
A thing which I believe is good consists of learning to use the mouse with the left hand so, my right one is relaxed. ( of course, for the people who work with the left hand, they must learn using the right one).
