The Carpathians Mountains is Europe’s largest mountain chain, across many international borders. The chain is extended mostly in Romania. Despite conflicts with shepherds, in Romania lives the largest gray wolf population in Europe. In the Carpathians Mountains live also brown bear, lynx and wild boar. Wolves number is appreciate at 2500 to 3000.
The weight of wolves can attain 60 kilos and can measure 140 cm.
Also in wild forest in Romania it appreciates to be 5000 brown bear and 1000 lynx because there are virgin forests yet. The predators feed mainly on wild boar, deer and rodents. Occasionally they take domestic animals usually sheep and pigs. This is a cause because the predators are hunted. It is need to keep the numbers of predators at optimal number.
It is need to create protected areas of there predators. Last time created few areas to protect predators and others animals.
