First of all, i think the Mesoamerican ball game was really a sport, and religious ceremony too.
Nowadays Ithink that popular sports – like football or tennis – have a ritual, ceremonial or symbolic significance, they are like a simulated war. Instead I do not think that the losing team should be sacrificed!
Howevr, I think that bullfighting is not a sport or a ritual, it is a show, either way, it should not be banned.

In the past sport was not just a competition between two people or teams, but it was a sort of entertainment for imperators at the expense of slaves who were obliged to partecipate and fighy each other. If you had been beaten, you wouldn't have survived.
Nowadays sport is connected with wellness and every state in the world desire to partecipate at the olympic games

I agree with you. Sports have now and also used to have a ceremonious and a sportive significance many years ago.

People need to measure strength to be prepared for a difficult time o war.

Lots of years ago maybe people were sacrified during the matches or games, and animals were killed. Fortunately people isn’t killed anymore during games, but some people still thinks that is normal killing animals (like bulls) in some games like bullfighting. This is not logical nowadays because there is not need to make animals suffer.

Hovewer, I don’t agree with you when you say that bullfighting is not a sport or a ritual. It is, because the matador shows up his skills and also his bravery. I also have do say that I don’t think it.

Sports have become a bussiness as well as a show. Despite sport people have to sacrifice a lot in order to achieve their goals and they demonstrate a high level of self-control, discipline and hard work-which are the positive things- they also do things against the healthy life style they should have. On the other hand, they get sick or hurt for the rest of their lives suffering tremendous consequences due to the exposition of frequent injuries. In my opinion, if you have ever been in a bullfighting, you should know about the stress and suffering the bulls are exposed to. I don´t think that loosing health or making animals suffer are worth.

Well, I think that this topic have many points of view. I'll give my opinion about the general concept of sports and bullfighting (murder).
Remember, Greek civilisation invent the Olympic Games and people stop war to carry out the games. I think that sports represents, how human being find a civilised form to compete in order to achieve his improvement. This is the spirit of the sport, but in now days, when players are professional, others factors have deformed the original idea.
About bullfighting, is a tradition and a brutal ritual too. I don't know how call it, but I'm sure is not a sport. Maybe is possible to say "show", but in addition I must say murder show. So, in this murder show, I like to compare with the Romans when gladiators fought in the Coliseum.
