What I think about Mesoamerican ball game is that was one of the first sports played in America and probably in the world. I consider this is the preceding of sports such as soccer and football. Nowadays we know that almost all sports have a different meaning depending on the point of view of each person, because some people doing of each sport a ritual or personal ceremony another people just see the sports like another hobby.
For years people think that those wh lost on a Mesoamerican ball game were sacrified or in some cases those whom won the contest, I dont thinks this is completely true, even tough we know that this cultures did some human sacrifices, but in unknown occasions
The only thing that I not consider that is a sport is the bullfighting, even I don´t thinkthis is a ritual or ceremony, I think is a masacre against a wild animal .
