Poetry and you
Posted: Wed Jul 11, 2018 8:56 amI like poetry in general and my favourite poet is Leopardi. But I also like the poem "Snake" by Lawrence, bacause it is too human, sensible, romantic.
The man at the begin followed his human instinct but, at the end, he regretted his action to hit the snake and lost his opportunity to admire well the special animal.
However, if I came across a snake, I could react with fear and fortunately it never happened to me. I live in Bologna, in Italy, near the Apennines, where it is possibile to come up against "vipera aspis", a venomus snake.
